Full Aniline Leather | Semi-aniline Leather | Oil Pull-up Leather | Buffed Leather | Nubuck / Suede Leather

Full Aniline Leather:
This leather has only been dyed in a drum and has no pigmentation on top. It has a protective wax or scotchgard layer. Its appearance is very natural and alive, but with less colour and stain resistance than semi-aniline leather. This leather is not recommended for a room with direct sunlight.
Semi-aniline Leather:
This leather has been drum dyed, but has a very thin pigmentation layer on top as well as a silicone scotchgard layer. Semi-aniline leather has lost a bit of its liveliness and natural character, but is very colour and stain resistant. This leather has the best longevity of all leather types and is recommended for areas with direct sunlight or heavy wear and tear.
Oil Pull-up Leather:
This leather has been dyed in a drum, but the oils and waxes have been mixed with extra pigmentation and applied on top. Over time this gives the leather a beautiful colour variation. This leather is however the least colour resistant of all types of leather and is not recommended if the furniture will be exposed to direct sunlight or heavy wear and tear.
Buffed Leather:
The leather has gone through exactly the same process as full-grain full aniline leather, but has afterwards received a slight buffing (like sanding it down with sandpaper) to provide it with an even more natural and rugged look. This effects the stain resistance of the leather as it loses some of its resistance to fluids during the process.
Nubuck / Suede Leather:
This leather has been dyed in a drum and has no pigmentation or scotchgard layer on top. It has a very earthy and natural appearance, but has very little stain resistance. It has to be scotchgarded regularly. Nubuck/Suede leather is not recommended for furniture that will need to endure heavy traffic.
