At Incanda we are proud to celebrate our connection with the African veld and its amazing animals.

Therefore we decided to launch a Wildlife Range by using Zebra, Hartebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Springbok, Blesbok and of course our indigenous Nguni Cattle. All skins come from annual culling operations and, where necessary, are accompanied by the necessary permits.

It is interesting to note that skin- or hair-on tanning is environmentally better than leather- or hair-off tanning. This is due to the fact that when using leather, the hair first has to be removed by using extra chemicals. These chemicals leave a residue of sludge that needs to be removed. When compared to plain leather, the hair also provides extra insulation, leaving your couch even more temperature neutral in the heat during summer or the cold during winter.
